Itinerary
Morning Departure: Depart from Nairobi early in the morning and drive to Lake Naivasha, located about 1.5 hours from the city. On the way, enjoy stunning views of the Great Rift Valley. Arrival at Naivasha: Arrive at Lake Naivasha before midday and check into your lodge. Boat Ride on Lake Naivasha: After checking in, embark on a relaxing boat ride on the lake. You’ll have the opportunity to spot hippos and numerous bird species, such as fish eagles and kingfishers. Crescent Island Walking Safari (Optional): For an additional adventure, enjoy a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where you can walk among giraffes, zebras, antelope, and other animals in a predator-free environment. Lunch: Return to your lodge for lunch. Afternoon Leisure: Spend the afternoon relaxing at the lodge, enjoying the peaceful ambiance by the lake. Evening: Dinner and overnight at your lodge by the lake.
Morning: After an early breakfast, depart for the Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations. The drive takes approximately 4-5 hours. Arrival at Masai Mara: Arrive at your lodge or camp in the Masai Mara in time for lunch and check-in. Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch and a short rest, head out for your first game drive in the Masai Mara. Keep an eye out for the Big Five—lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard—as well as giraffes, zebras, and cheetahs. Evening: Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Morning Game Drive: Start your day with an early morning game drive. The cooler temperatures make this the best time to see predators on the hunt and observe other wildlife before the heat sets in. Breakfast: Return to your camp or lodge for a hearty breakfast. Mid-Morning (Optional): Visit a local Maasai village to experience Maasai culture, traditional dances, and learn about their way of life. Lunch: Enjoy lunch at your camp or lodge. Afternoon Game Drive: Continue your exploration of the Masai Mara in the afternoon. During the migration season (July to October), you may witness the dramatic river crossings of wildebeest and zebras. Evening: Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Early Morning Game Drive: Head out for one last early morning game drive to capture any final sightings of the Mara’s wildlife. Breakfast: Return to your lodge or camp for breakfast and check out. Departure: After breakfast, depart for Nairobi with lunch en route. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon, marking the end of your safari adventure.
